Test Dates
Both the SAT and the ACT are given many times throughout the school year and during the summer. Not only does this flexibility give you the opportunity to choose the test date that is best suited for your schedule, it gives you an opportunity to take it more than once for the most optimal outcome. Knowing ahead of time which test date(s) you want to take lets you decide what time of year is the most convenient for preparation. If you play a fall sport then we certainly wouldn't recommend you taking the October, November or December tests since you probably wouldn't have the time that is needed to properly prepare for it. Likewise if you play a spring sport, then the March, April and May tests are probably not the most ideal tests to take. Knowing these things ahead of time gives you the opportunity to be proactive rather than reactive.
